October 13, Fineko/abc.az. As of October 1, 2026, the number of commercial entities registered in Azerbaijan increased by 6.5% versus Jan-Sept 2025 up to 213,837.

According to the State Tax Service, 14% of the 1,208 commercial organizations that passed state registration in September were enterprises with foreign investments.

According to estimates, approximately 169 enterprises with foreign investments and 1,039 ones with local investments were registered in the specified month. This means that every seventh established company was founded with the participation of foreign capital. The annual growth in the number of commercial structures by 6.5% means a net increase in the number of enterprises by around 13,000.

In general, the number of taxpayers registered in the country increased by 4.6% up to 1,729,010.

The growth rate of commercial organizations outstripped the overall number of taxpayers by 1.9 p.p.
