October 13, Fineko/abc.az. As of October 1, 2026, the number of taxpayers in Azerbaijan reached 1,729,000 (a rise of 4.6% versus Jan-Sept 2025).

The State Tax Service reports that 86.7% of registered taxpayers are individuals, while 13.3% - legal entities and other organizations.

Over Jan-Sept 2026, the number of individual entrepreneurs grew by 4.4%, and institutions, enterprises and organizations - by 5.7%.

By the end of September, there were 213,837 registered commercial entities in Azerbaijan (6.5% more than a year earlier).

During September, 1,208 commercial institutions passed state registration. Of them, 86% are companies with local investments and 14% with foreign investments.

83% of commercial organizations are registered electronically. The share of e-registration of limited liability companies with local investments was 96.6%.

At that, 92.4% of registered commercial legal entities are created in the form of LLC.
