Vagit Alekperov has left the post of head of Lukoil

April 21, Fineko/abc.az. Vagit Alekperov has left the Board of Directors and the post of head of Lukoil, ABC.AZ reports with reference to Lukoil.

"Vagit Alekperov, co-owner, president and founder of Russia's largest private oil company Lukoil, has decided to leave his post, as well as to resign from the Board of Directors," the company’s statement says.

Alekperov has headed the company since 1993. In addition, the entrepreneur controls the Spartak football club.
