11:57 - 21.04.2022

April 21, Fineko/abc.az. American company Procter&Gamble (P&G) stated that it may not be able to continue its activities in Russia because of sanctions, financial restrictions and supply problems.

ABC.AZ reports with reference to the Russian media, P&G notes that the main factor in making a decision will be the impact of the crisis in Ukraine on retail customers, suppliers and distributors of the corporation. Before the start of the special operation, business in Russia and Ukraine brought from 1.5% to 2% of the company's global profit.

In March, P&G announced the termination of new investments in the Russian business segment and the reduction of the list of products exported to the Russian Federation.

In total, about 2,500 employees work in the Russian segment of P&G, and about 500 more employees are registered in Ukraine. The main problem that the company is currently concerned about is two plants in Ukraine that may collapse, which will lead to big financial problems.
