April 15, Fineko/abc.az. The construction of diesel and gasoline production units in accordance with Euro-5 standards continues at the Heydar Aliyev Oil Refinery of the State Oil Company of Azerbaijan (SOCAR).

ABC.AZ reports, citing Deputy CEO of SOCAR Downstream Management, project director Emil Alkhasly,as saying this at today’s press conference devoted to the project of upgrade and reconstruction of the refinery.

He added that from mid-2022 it is planned to produce diesel fuel on Euro-5 standards: "The main goal is to improve the quality of gasoline produced at the refinery with the regular commissioning of other new installations, and from mid-2023 to bring the quality of gasoline up to Euro-5 standards. Completion of the upgrade work is scheduled for 2026 or 2027."
