A new record on inflation in Europe

16:24 - 1.04.2022

April 1, Fineko/abc.az. Inflation in Europe has reached a record high as Russia's military operations conducted in Ukraine caused new tensions in the global supply chain.

ABC.AZ reports that in March inflation in the eurozone rose from 5.9% to 7.5% per annum, contrary to expectations (6.7%).

At that, core annual inflation accelerated to 3% from 2.7% a month earlier, with an acceleration forecast to 3.1%.

Rising inflation has led to a delay in the interest rate expectations of the European Central Bank.
