April 1, Fineko/abc.az. Russian energy giant Gazprom informed its customers about the new payment procedure after Vladimir Putin signed a decree on making payments for gas in rubles.

ABC.AZ reports that according to the new decree, two accounts in euros and rubles will be opened for European buyers in this bank.

Gazprombank will also be able to act as mediator on behalf of the client and transfer money into rubles. The statement on the occasion says that Gazprom's management fully and unconditionally complies with Russian legislation and that Gazprom is a reliable partner.

"We continue to deliver gas safely to our customers," the statement says.
