Azerbaijan's public debt decreased by 8.7%

March 15, Fineko/abc.az. Azerbaijan's GDP grew by 5.6% in 2021, ABC.AZ reports, quoting MP Tair Mirkishili as saying this at today's plenary session of the parliament.

"We highly appreciate the growth of GDP in the country by 5.6%, the oil and gas sector by 7.2%, the non-oil industry by 18.9%, agricultural production by 3.4%, non-oil exports by 38.4%, the increase in strategic foreign exchange reserves by $2.4 bn, the excess of the positive trade balance by $12.1 bn, reduction of external direct public debt by 8.7% and GDP in the amount of 13.5%, execution of state budget revenues in excess of the forecast, and expenditures at the level of more than 96%," he emphasized.
