How will Ukrainian crisis affect Russian-Azerbaijani economic ties?

March 14, Fineko/abc.az. MP Vugar Bayramov, a member of the Parliamentary Committee on Economic Policy, Industry & Entrepreneurship, said that the sanctions imposed against Russia, restrictions and bans on food exports will also have impact on Azerbaijan-Russia trade turnover.

ABC.AZ reports that according to the MP, the total cost of wheat imports from Russia by Azerbaijan exceeds $300 million on average for the year.

"In addition, among the products supplied by Azerbaijan to Russia, agricultural products are leading – 65% of the farm products exported by Azerbaijan are supplied to the Russian market," he emphasized.

Bayramov stressed that with this in mind, it is necessary to find new markets and sources of imports.
