March 9, Fineko/abc.az. By the end of 2021, the assets of the insurance sector of Azerbaijan amounted to AZN 1.33 million (1.6% less than at the end of 2020).

ABC.AZ reports that at the beginning of the year AZN 532 million or 40% of the sector's assets were investments in securities (1.1% more versus early 2021).

In particular, insurers' investments in government securities increased by 2.5% up to AZN 457 million, and investments in non-government securities declined by 6.25% to AZN 75 million.

Finances on deposit accounts of the sector decreased by 1.9% to AZN 308 million, other assets in cash by 15.6% to AZN 103 million, and other assets by 0.8% to AZN 388 million.
