Oil rises in price, and Brent is at $110.07 a barrel

March 2, Fineko/abc.az. Prices for oil of benchmark grades continue to rise in Wednesday's trading.

By 9:07 a.m., at the London ICE Futures Exchange the May’s Brent crude futures rose by $5.10 (4.86%) up to $110.07 per barrel. Following the trading on 1 March, the price of Brent crude futures for May grew by $7 (7.15%) up to $104.97 per barrel.

By 9:08 a.m., at the New York Mercantile Exchange (NYMEX) the WTI oil futures for April increased in price by $5.10 (4.93%) up to $108.51 per barrel. Following the trading on 1 March, the price of April’s WTI oil futures soared by $7.69 (8.03%) up to $103.41 per barrel.

Oil is getting more expensive after the introduction of tough measures by the U.S., UK and the EU against Russia due to the outbreak of war in Ukraine.
