Parliamentary committee prepares a draft in connection with fines

February 8, Fineko/abc.az. A draft law on new fines for violating the rules of maintenance of gas installations and gas pipelines, chimneys, as well as ventilation lines has been recommended for the 2nd reading at the Milli Majlis plenary session.

ABC.AZ reports that in this regard, the draft amendments to the Code of Administrative Offences were submitted for discussion in the 1st reading at today's session of the Parliament.

Committee’s chairman Sadig Gurbanov said that draft laws on the amendments to the Law on Gas Supply and the Code of Administrative Offenses were submitted for discussion at today's meeting. The draft law was developed to improve legislation on the prevention of carbon monoxide poisoning and gas explosions.

Individuals are fined from 200 up to 400 manats, officials from 1,000 up to 1,500 manats, legal entities from 2,500 to 3,000 manats for non-compliance with the decisions of the relevant executive authority exercising control over gas supplies on the suspension and regulation of gas installations and activities related to gas supply.
