ABC.AZ reports that Indian authorities plan to impose a 30% tax on any income from virtual digital assets.
This was stated by Indian Finance Minister Nirmala Sitharaman.
The decision to tax cryptocurrency traders was made for a reason.
"We’re seeing phenomenal growth in operations with virtual digital assets. The scale and frequency of these operations made it necessary to provide for a special tax regime," the minister explained.
