February 2, Fineko/abc.az. As of 1 January 2022, the bank deposits of Baku residents totaled AZN 8.217 bn.

ABC.AZ informs that as a whole, residents of the capital give preference to deposits in foreign currency.

Of them, AZN 4.56 bn (55.5% of all deposits in Baku) accounted for deposits in national currency and AZN 3.65 bn for deposits in national currency (44.5%).

In Baku the banks accepted deposits of the population in foreign currency at interest rate of 4.94% and in national currency at interest rate of 1.18% per annum.
