December 22, Fineko/abc.az. The 1st Azerbaijan-Turkey Energy Forum has been held in Baku.

ABC.AZ reports that when delivering speech at the event, the president of Azerbaijan’s national electricity supplier Azerenergy, Baba Rzayev, said that before the occupation, there was electric power infrastructure in the Karabakh region, providing electricity for about 1 million residents.

He noted that during the occupation, barbarian enemies destroyed all towns and villages, completely destroyed the electric power infrastructure.

"The company we lead has already done some work in the liberated territories. Over the past year, Azerenergy, starting its activities immediately after mine clearance operations in the liberated districts, and in some places in parallel, built new digital substations with capacity of 600 MW in a short time, laid more than 400 km of 110 kV transmission lines and provided electricity to the Fizuli, Jabrayil, Zangilan, Gubadli, Kelbajar, Aghdam districts and the city of Shusha," Babayev said.
