December 15, Fineko/abc.az. Today, the US Central Bank (Fed) will announce the following interest rate decision at 23:00 on Baku time.
ABC.AZ reports that analysts expect the Fed to accelerate the suspension of monetary stimulus and tighten monetary policy when inflation in the U.S. reaches its highest level in almost 40 years.
Economists believe the Fed will keep the interest rate close to zero (0.25%) without changing it.
"The Fed is likely to increase the pace of reducing purchases of securities. Phasing out of the incentives introduced in connection with the pandemic will create the basis for interest growth in 2022," the economists said.
