November 17, Fineko/abc.az. According to a new report by McKinsey & Co, China has overtaken the United States as the country with the largest accumulation of net wealth globally.
ABC.AZ informs that according to the report, with China's wealth of $7 trillion in 2000, by 2020 its wealth grew 17-fold and reached $120 trillion.
The U.S. doubled its wealth over the same period. Washington's net worth reached $90 trillion in 2020. The report says that more than two-thirds of the wealth accumulated in both countries belongs to the richest 10% of the population, and this share is gradually increasing. Global wealth increased from $156 trillion in 2000 up to $514 trillion in 2020.
