November 11, Fineko/abc.az. The finance minister explained the causes of the rise in oil prices in Azerbaijan against the background of rising oil prices at world markets. 

ABC.AZ reports that Finance Minister Samir Sharifov stated about this to journalists when talking about the increase in tariffs for electricity, natural gas and some other products in Azerbaijan. 

"At the initial stage, oil prices remained at a low level in the forecasts for this year. Therefore, when oil fell in price, we did not reduce tariffs. Currently, our tariffs are quite low than in the world. Look at what the price of natural gas is in the world, and what it is in our country," the minister said.
