October 29, Fineko/abc.az. The net profit of world's largest online retailer Amazon for July-September 2021 decreased almost by half compared with the same period of 2020.

According to company's financial statements, for the 3rd quarter of this year its net profit amounted to $3.2 bn, while for the same period of 2020 this figure reached $6.3 bn. Operating profit decreased from $6.2 bn to $4.9 bn.

The drop was the highest since the 2nd quarter of 2017. Earnings per share decreased to $6.12 from $12.37.
