October 8, Fineko/abc.az. Baku Metro CJSC will provide passengers with the possibility of contactless payment in the 1st half of next year.

ABC.AZ reports that this was announced by company’s spokesman Bakhtiyar Mammadov.

According to Mammadov, technical design work is currently underway on this project: "Passengers will be able to pay contactless via NFC technology using a QR code or an application that will be downloaded to a mobile phone. The project even considers the possibility of paying with bank cards. International experience in this field is being studied in detail”.
