September 2, Fineko/abc.az. The program on the mechanism of guarantees and subsidies came into force on 30 June 2020, and by 31 August of this year 1,648 applicants with credit requirements of AZN 362.6 million were given state guarantees for AZN 211.4 million.

ABC.AZ reports that this was stated at a press conference by Acting Chairman of the Board of the Entrepreneurship Development Fund Osman Khaliyev.

He noted that at the same time, the state will subsidize half of the interest costs on the loan in the amount of AZN 362.6 million.

"The EDF received 5,836 applications in order to subsidize interests on existing loans, from 30 June 2020 to 31 August 2021. 4,770 of the appeals received positive assessment, and the share on which interest expenses will be subsidized is AZN 60.5 million," Khaliyev said.
