June 30, Fineko/abc.az. The Tariff (Price) Council has held a regular meeting on 30 June 2021.

At the meeting the appeal of the State Oil Company (SOCAR) was considered and a corresponding decision was made, ABC.AZ reports with reference to the Council.

By a unanimous decision of the Council’s members, on the basis of a socially-oriented policy pursued by the state, preference was given to a model that meets the interests of the low-income part of the population.

Thus, when applying the optimal approach in tariff regulation, the tariff for a part of the annual volume of natural gas consumption up to 1,200 cu m (including 1,200 cu m) for consumers covering about 51% of the population's subscribers (5 million people) remained unchanged and remained at the current level (10 gapiks per cu m).

For a site with volume of consumed gas of 1,200-2,500 cu m (including 2,500 cu m) 20 gapiks per cu m were fixed, and for a plot with volume of more than 2,500 cu m – 25 gapiks.
