May 18, Fineko/abc.az. In 2020, the money transfers of individuals from Russia to Azerbaijan amounted to $901 million (AZN 1.531 bn).

According to the Central Bank of Russia, this is 9.8% less than in 2019, ABC.AZ reports.

The average amount of the transfers was $341 in 2020. 81% of the money transfers to Azerbaijan were sent by residents of Russia.

It should be noted that 33.1% ($298.6 million) of all money transfers were made through payment systems. In the list of money transfers from Russia to the CIS countries, Azerbaijan ranks 4th, and Uzbekistan is the leader ($4.42 bn).
