April 15, Fineko/abc.az. The remittances from Azerbaijan to Georgia totaled $18.6 million in the 1st quarter of this year, ABC.AZ reports with reference to the National Bank of Georgia.

The indicator is 3-fold more versus Jan-Mar 2020.

The largest number of money transfers (for $7.3 million) for the reporting period was recorded in March.

Over Jan-Mar the money transfers from the neighboring country to Azerbaijan were carried out for $3.8 million ($200,000 more against Jan-Mar 2020).

Over the past 3 months the total volume of remittances to Georgia from abroad grew by 49.5% up to $188.2 million and the money transfers from Georgia abroad amounted to $24.9 million (+21.9%).
