March 15, Fineko/abc.az. As of 1 January of this year the number of payment cards in circulation reached 9.6 million cards, the number of ATMs – 2,779, and POS-terminals – 573,440.

ABC.AZ reports with reference to the Central Bank that the total volume of payment card transactions in the country reached AZN 28.1 bn ones in 2020 (26% more versus 2019).

The volume of non-cash payments on payment cards within the country has also increased. Thus, these calculations increased by 34% up to AZN 6.4 bn.
