ABC.AZ reports that President Ilham Aliyev stated about this on 11 March during a video reception of the new president of the European Bank for Reconstruction & Development, Odile Renaud-Basso, and other representatives of the bank's management.

The head of state noted that everything was destroyed as a result of almost 30-year occupation by Armenia.

"Cities and villages are destroyed. So, we’ll have to reconstruct an area of more than 10,000 sq km to ensure decent living conditions for people waiting to return to their native land for more than a million former IDPs persons. This is our main task, and we’ve already begun to fulfill it," the president said.
