Products whose trade turnover declined in 2020

February 15, Fineko/abc.az. Azerbaijan’s export of potatoes increased by 31.7%, fruit and vegetable juices by 20.1%, vegetable oils by 1.7 times, canned fruits and vegetables by 3.8%, margarine, other food mixtures by 16.4%, cotton fiber by 13.2%, polyethylene by 27.6%, and ferrous metal pipes by 2 times for 2020 (versus 2019).

The decrease was observed on the export of the following products in 2020: fresh fruits 10.5%, fresh vegetables 1.2%, sugar 2.3%, tobacco 26.1%, tea 9.9%, natural wines and grape musts 57.3%, aluminum machined 18.1%, cotton yarn 29.4%, bentonite clay 7.1%, and non-ferrous metals 36.1%.

ABC.AZ reports that compared with 2019, last year country’s import of fresh fruits grew by 11.5%, butter, other dairy fats and pasta by 19.8%, beef by 10.9%, fresh vegetables by 1.8 times, cars by 15.1%, medicines by 38.5%, computers, blocks and aggregates by 23.1%, ferrous metal rods by 36.6%, and mineral fertilizers by 4.5%.

Imports of wheat decreased by 13.9%, vegetable oils by 1.3%, raw sugar and sugar by 14.5%, tea by 0.8%, potatoes by 5.4%, poultry meat and its additional products by 21%, cigarettes by 71.1%, pipes made of ferrous metals by 22.6%, rolled steel by 13.6%, rubber tires by 17.7%, trucks by 4.1%, furniture by 24.9%, polyethylene by 25%, washing machines by 7.4%, household air conditioners by 33.4%, buses by 52.7%, iron and steel coals by 14.5%, household refrigerators by 12%, cement and cement clinker by 32.6%.
