January 7, Fineko/abc.az. On behalf of the President, taking into account the best international experience in the Karabakh region, the development of the concept of green zone or green space to cover the use of renewable energy sources (RES), energy efficiency, eco-friendly technologies, including the use of transportation vehicles and other matters, has started.

ABC.AZ reports that the relevant statement was made by Energy Minister Parviz Shahbazov at a president-chaired meeting, dedicated to the results of 2020.

The minister noted that negotiations on the occasion are underway with the International Renewable Energy Agency.

"According to initial estimates, the potential of these territories in solar energy exceeds 4,000 tons and in wind energy 500 MW," Shahbazov said.
