Central Bank sells $79.8 million to banks at currency auction

December 24, Fineko/abc.az. The Central Bank of Azerbaijan has conducted a currency auction with the participation of the State Oil Fund.

According to the CBA, $79.8 million was sold to banks at the currency auction on 24 December.

"Demand from banks at the auction amounted to $79.8 million and was fully met," the CBA said in a statement.

As a result of the auction, the weighted average exchange rate of the manat to the US dollar was AZN 1.70.
