Central Bank sold $40.7 million to banks in a currency auction

June 11, Fineko/abc.az. The Central Bank of Azerbaijan (CBA) held a currency auction with the participation of the State Oil Fund.

The CBA said that $40.7 million was sold to banks at the currency auction on 11 June.

"The demand from banks at the currency auction amounted to $40.7 million and was fully secured," the CBA said in a statement.

At the end of the auction the average weighted exchange rate of the manat to the dollar was AZN 1.70.
