April 21, Fineko/abc.az. As of 1 April 92.7% (122,430 businesses) of the total number of commercial organizations in Azerbaijan (149,510) were microenterprises, and most of them were created in the field of trade (32.0%), services in other spheres (16.4%), construction (10.2%) and agriculture (8.2%).

ABC.AZ reports with reference to State Statistics Committee’s monthly report that as of 1 April 4.9% of the total number of commercial organizations in the country were small enterprises, the main part of which was created in such areas as trade (27.4%), construction (12.5%), processing industry (10.1%) and professional, scientific and technical activities (6.9%).

As of 1 April 1.9% of the total number of commercial organizations in the country were medium-sized enterprises, the main part of them were established in the areas of trade (23.4%), construction (17.4%), manufacturing (10.9%) and transport and warehousing (6.1%).
