12:05 - 9.04.2020

April 9, Fineko/abc.az. A program on the compensation to entrepreneurs and their employees for the damage caused by the coronavirus pandemic is to be launched today.

ABC.AZ reports that the process is divided into three stages.

At the initial stage the goal is to pay a certain portion of wages to employees working in spheres affected by the pandemic, provide financial support to individual and micro-entrepreneurs, and ensure tax incentives for protection of economic activity.

This program, designed to prevent the reduction of the number of jobs in areas affected by the pandemic, will cover 300,000 employees, 42,000 employers and, in addition, about 300,000 private or micro-entrepreneurs.

The State allocated AZN 215 million for maintenance of the wages of hired employees. This amount will be divided into two parts and be paid in April and May. Contributions to the state social insurance will be charged to and paid in addition to these payments.
