March 4, Fineko/abc.az. Kazakhstan temporarily stops shipping with Azerbaijan and Iran.
With the purpose to prevent the spread of coronavirus the Ministry of Industry & Infrastructure Development of Kazakhstan informs that from 5 March 2020 the Kazakh ports of Aktau and Kuryk will suspend temporarily the service of sea vessels arriving from Azerbaijan and Iran and carrying people and motor vehicles with drivers.
A restriction is imposed for the crews of foreign cargo ships leaving the ports of Aktau and Kuryk. In addition, the sanitary and epidemiological services will tighten control over the members of the crews of Kazakh ships engaged in international carriages, when they change in the ports.
Besides, starting from 5 March Kazakhstan stops flight Nur-Sultan – Baku while Almaty-Baku and Aktau-Baku flights are restricted.
