February 6, Fineko/abc.az. The Central Bank has released statistics on cards and payments of the population.

ABC.AZ reports that in 2018 out of AZN 16.58 million, 83% or AZN 13.76 bn were cash withdrawals, 17% or 2.82 bn were non-cash payments.

Last year the non-cash payments on POS terminals grew by 19.5% or AZN 218 million up to AZN 1.3 bn against 2018 (AZN 1.115 bn).

In 2019 the non-cash payments via e-commerce almost doubled up to AZN 2.935 bn versus 2018 (AZN 1.49 bn).

The operations via debit and credit cards outside the country amounted to AZN 1.475 bn.
