November 5, Fineko/abc.az. Azerbaijani credit institutions’ investments in foreign currency increased by AZN 109 million.

ABC.AZ informs that the relevant statement was reported by the Central Bank.

Thus, at the end of August 2019 credit investments in foreign currency in the amount of AZN 4.758 bn reached AZN 4.867 bn at the end of September. The total loans in foreign currency, which fell to AZN 4.643 bn in April 2019, increased by AZN 224 million over the reported term. Although at the end of September the credit investments in foreign currency reached AZN 4.867 bn, they are still less than at the end of last year (AZN 4.946 bn).

As of 30 September 2019 the credit investments amounted to AZN 14.24 bn, including AZN 9.375 bn in national currency and AZN 4.867 bn in foreign currency. The credit investments in the amount of AZN 1.443 bn are overdue. In just first 9 months of 2019 the credit investments grew by AZN 1.223 bn, including AZN 1.302 bn in national currency and AZN 79 million in foreign currency.
