October 1, Fineko/abc.az. Azerbaijan and the Central Asian countries intend to increase regional trade up to $20 billion and establish joint production of output under the Made in Central Asia brand.

Azerbaijani Economy Minister Mikayil Jabbarov made the above-said statement at the CAMCA 2026 Regional Forum in Baku.

He recalled that the political dimension of those ties deepened in November 2025 in Tashkent, when Azerbaijan became a full participant in the format of Consultative Meetings of the heads of state of Central Asia. Azerbaijan became the first country outside the region to join this format. The first meeting of the Ministers of Trade and Investment of Azerbaijan and Central Asian countries took place a few days ago.

According to the minister, Azerbaijan has established joint investment funds with Kazakhstan, Uzbekistan and Kyrgyzstan in the economic and financial spheres. They combine several medium-scale markets into a single investment platform. Azerbaijan's share in each of these funds is at least 50%.
