September 15, Fineko/abc.az. According to data released by Turkiye's Energy Market Regulatory Authority (EPDK), Turkiye imported 1.00131 billion cubic meters of natural gas from Azerbaijan in July.

With a 32.69 percent share in Turkiye's total gas imports, Azerbaijan ranked first among supplying nations. Russia followed in second place with 948.49 million cubic meters (down 46.57%), while Iran ranked third with 919.33 million cubic meters (up 7.61%).

July import volumes from Azerbaijan registered a slight decrease of 0.29 percent (or 4.48 million cubic meters) compared to the same month last year (1.00423 billion cubic meters in July 2025). Cumulatively, Turkiye imported 6.49347 billion cubic meters of Azerbaijani natural gas during the first seven months of the year (January–July).

Turkiye receives Azerbaijani natural gas via the South Caucasus Pipeline (SCP) and the Trans-Anatolian Natural Gas Pipeline (TANAP). The SCP, operational since late 2006, delivers Shah Deniz gas. Commercial deliveries through TANAP—inaugurated in Eskisehir on June 12, 2018—commenced to Turkiye on June 30, 2018, and to Europe in December 2020.
