“Xalq Bank” violates rules as BFB issues warning

14:54 - 4.09.2026

September 4, Fineko/abc.az. Xalq Bank OJSC has received a written warning from the Baku Stock Exchange (BFB).

The warning was issued because the bank failed to submit, within the prescribed deadline, its internal rules and procedures required by the BFB.

Under the BFB Membership Rules, exchange members must have internal procedures covering internal controls, risk management, the protection and security of trading information, customer relations, the acceptance and execution of customer orders, conflict-of-interest management, and the setting of trading limits for customers.

Copies of these internal documents must also be submitted to the exchange.

Due to the late submission of the documents, the BFB Membership Committee decided on September 1, 2026, to impose a disciplinary measure on the bank in the form of a written warning.

It should be noted that Xalq Bank is also a shareholder of the Baku Stock Exchange, holding 4.76% of its charter capital.
