Iran Included in List of Countries with Special Conditions for Diplomatic Service Staff

August 28, Fineko/abc.az. Prime Minister of the Republic of Azerbaijan Ali Asadov has signed a decree amending the "Rules for Providing Guarantees and Compensations to Diplomatic Service Employees."

According to the decree, the Islamic Republic of Iran has been added to the list of foreign states in conditions of war and armed conflict where diplomatic missions and consulates operate.

The decree applies retroactively from March 1, 2026, and remains in effect until December 31, 2026.
