Capital Investments in Nakhchivan Surge Nearly 31%

August 13, Fineko/abc.az. In January–July 2026, fixed capital investments in the Nakhchivan Autonomous Republic reached 156.7 million manats. According to the Cabinet of Ministers of Nakhchivan AR, this marks a 30.9% increase compared to the same period last year.

Investment breakdown:

  • Production sector: 48.9%

  • Residential construction: 38.3%

  • Services sector: 12.8%

Construction and assembly works accounted for 127.5 million manats (81.4%) of the total capital investment, registering a 43% year-on-year increase.

In comparison, total fixed capital investment in Azerbaijan grew by 10.7% in real terms over the 7-month period, reaching 11 billion 111.9 million manats. Investments in the national oil and gas sector surged by 33.6% to 3 billion 708.6 million manats, while non-oil/gas investments rose by 1.9% to 7 billion 403.3 million manats.
