August 13, Fineko/abc.az. According to the State Statistics Committee, consumers in Azerbaijan spent 2,327.3 million AZN on motor gasoline and diesel fuel in the retail trade network during the first seven months of 2026.

This represents a 4.9% increase compared to the same period in 2025. Fuel purchases accounted for 6.1% of total consumer expenditure on retail goods over the reporting period.

Overall Retail Trade Performance:

• Total Retail Turnover: Reached 38,358.5 million AZN in Jan–Jul 2026, marking a real growth rate of 3.8%.

• Food, Beverages & Tobacco: Sales in this segment rose 1.4% to 20,843.9 million AZN.

• Non-Food Products: Consumer spending on non-food items expanded 6.6% year-on-year to 17,514.6 million AZN.
