August 12, Fineko/abc.az. In the first half of this year, Azerbaijani banks executed 1,530 transactions worth 55.7 billion AZN on the Bloomberg trading system.

According to the Central Bank of Azerbaijan's (CBA) semi-annual "Monetary Policy Review," the total transaction volume increased by 45.55% year-on-year, while the number of deals decreased by 28.8%.

Activity in the unsecured segment of the interbank market remained strong during the reporting period, with 97% of operations consisting of short-term 1 to 3-day transactions.
