August 12, Fineko/abc.az. SOCAR disclosed major achievements in climate action and decarbonization in its 2025 Sustainability Report.

Through the implementation of the Leak Detection and Repair (LDAR) program at Azneft PU, the company successfully prevented approximately 1 million tons of CO₂ equivalent in greenhouse gas emissions. Under its Decarbonization Roadmap, SOCAR prioritizes methane reduction, electrification, and expanding renewable energy integration.

Additionally, SOCAR issued $200 million in Green Bonds to finance renewable energy initiatives and launched a centralized "ESG Data Platform" to streamline data tracking and report accuracy.
