August 5, Fineko/abc.az. Russian President Vladimir Putin has signed into law a bill permitting the use of cryptocurrencies in cross-border trade contracts, crypto mining operations, and the acquisition of securities and other digital assets.
Under the signed legislation, Russian entities and foreign partners are authorized to use digital currencies as a payment mechanism in international trade settlement. However, the ban on using cryptocurrency for domestic payments within Russia remains strictly in effect. The law sets a 300,000-ruble annual cap for non-qualified retail investors while empowering commercial banks to reject unauthorized digital transactions.
