July 23, Fineko/abc.az. Nestlé is set to carve out its Waters & Premium Beverages business into a 50:50 joint venture with Platinum Equity, valuing the unit at €4.9 billion. The new entity, named Peranel, will bring together iconic brands including Perrier, S.Pellegrino, Acqua Panna, and Nestlé Pure Life. The transaction is expected to close in the first half of 2027, with Nestlé receiving approximately €3 billion in net proceeds.
Separately, Nestlé reported its first-half financial results. Net profit dropped 31.4% year-over-year to CHF 3.47 billion, while revenue declined 2.5% to CHF 43.1 billion, despite achieving 3.6% organic sales growth. The Swiss food giant maintained its full-year guidance of 3–4% organic growth and free cash flow exceeding CHF 9 billion. RBC analysts described the results as largely in line with expectations, noting that strong sales performance across Asia, Oceania, and Africa helped offset weakness in North America and Europe.
