Law on platform economy comes into force in Russia

October 1, Fineko/abc.az. Today, a law regulating the operation of marketplaces, delivery services, service aggregators, and taxis began to take effect in Russia. It introduces uniform requirements for digital platforms, including obligations for arranging transactions, placing goods, and making payments.

The rules apply only to companies from a special registry: with an audience of at least 100,000 users per day and a significant volume of operations (at least 10,000 partners or turnover of 50 billion rubles or more). The preliminary list includes 12 services, including Avito, Ozon, Wildberries and the Yandex ecosystem.
