October 8, Fineko/abc.az. The Baku Stock Exchange held a meeting with the delegation of organization TheCityUK, representing the financial sector of Great Britain, and a representative of the international infrastructure company Euroclear.

The main topic of discussion was the dual listing mechanism, which allows Azerbaijani companies to attract capital from foreign investors and trade their shares on both local and international exchanges. The parties reviewed current legislation, technical infrastructure, and obstacles to entering international markets.

The meeting highlighted TheCityUK's extensive experience in developing capital markets and dual listing in countries such as Vietnam, Nigeria, Ukraine, Turkey, Oman, and especially India. The role of Euroclear, which can simplify the access of foreign investors to the securities market of Azerbaijan, was also highlighted.

Nevertheless, following the meeting, it was stated that no specific agreement on dual listing or technical integration had yet been signed between the parties.
