JPMorgan upgrades bonds of a range of Turkish companies and banks

July 21, Fineko/abc.az. Investment bank JPMorgan has upgraded the bonds of a number of Turkish companies and banks to the level of "above the market" (overweight), citing macroeconomic stability, high profitability and attractive asset valuation.

The bank's analysts note that debt securities of Turkish issuers with a yield of 8-11% provide a steady income above the market.

The recommendations were upgraded for subordinated (Tier 2) and perpetual bonds of banks, as well as for the securities of Çimko, Limak Çimento, and Ülker.

At the same time, due to pressure on the marginality of exporters, the valuations of Arçelik and Şişecam bonds were reduced to "below market" (underperform), while Ford Otosan, Anadolu Efes and Coca-Cola Içecek retained their "neutral" status.
