July 15, Fineko/abc.az. The State Agency for Antimonopoly Control & Consumer Market Supervision initiated a case on grounds of violating the competition legislation against PDD Holdings, the owner of electronic trading platform Temu, the state agency informs.
It is noted that as a result of the investigation conducted on its own initiative by the antitrust authority based on an internal appeal, the company was found to have violated the requirements of Articles 16.2.1 (the use of underpriced or overpriced monopoly prices), 16.2.7, and 16.2.8 of the Azerbaijani Competition Code.
PDD Holdings abused its dominant position by implementing a pricing policy that restricted competition through the Temu trading platform.
The case is currently under review.
