June 24, Fineko/abc.az. Over Jan-May 2026, Azerbaijan recorded a sharp increase on insurance payments in the life insurance segment.

ABC.AZ reports, referring to the Central Bank of Azerbaijan, that in the first 5 months of the year, life insurance companies made payments for totally 288.1 million manats (40.3% more versus Jan-May 2025).

In the structure of payments, voluntary life insurance accounted for 287 million manats, and compulsory life insurance accounted for 1.1 million manats.

In general, according to the CBA, overall payments across the entire insurance sector of the country reached 409.6 million manats (a rise of 30.1% in annual comparison).
